EGG DONATION PROGRAM

Egg donation is often a viable option for intended mothers facing diminished egg quality due to a variety of conditions, including advanced age. For most women, their egg quality and ovarian reserve start to noticeably decline after the age of 35 and dramatically after 40.

As such, Kolb Fertility: Australia has partnered with Fertty International Clinic in Spain to offer egg donation services that allow for intended parents to complete their desired families at an affordable cost. Egg donation using American clinics is also available, but at a higher rate for services.

How does it work?

Intended parents are matched with an international donor who is carefully screened for a variety of medical conditions and genetic predispositions. And while donors are anonymous, the match will take into consideration the ethnic background and physical characteristics of the parents.

The in vitro fertilization (IVF) process can be started at a local clinic in Australia. Following several medical tests, frozen sperm is sent to the Ferrty Clinic in Spain where it will be used to create embryos with donor eggs. The frozen embryos are then sent to Kolb Fertilityat the HRC clinic in Pasadena, California. Preimplementation genetic screening(PGS) and gender selection can also be performed at Kolb Fertility upon request.

Intended parents travel to Pasadena for the embryo transfer, which takes approximately 6 days and includes hormonal stimulation via medication to prepare the uterus. During this process our local Australian support team will be available to offer advice and answer questions.
